What Do I Need to Get a Marriage License in Vegas during the Coronavirus Pandemic?
1. A valid, government issued photo ID for you and your fiancé.
2. A credit or debit card to pay the $77 fee (no cash or checks!)
3. Internet access to apply for your Las Vegas marriage license online.
4. If you are a US citizen, you will need to know your social security number. You do not need to bring the card.
5. If you have been divorced you will need to know the month, day and year and where (city & state) your divorce was finalized. You do not need the divorce decree unless it grants you the ability to use a new legal name.
6. Widowed applicants must know the month, day, year and where (city & state) they were widowed. The death certificate is not needed.
7. A face mask to wear inside the marriage license bureau (required!)
8. Water and an umbrella to stay comfortable in the event that you may have to wait outside at the licensing bureau. Only 3 couples will be allowed inside at once.

Special safety protocols have been implemented in order to continue issuing marriage licenses in Las Vegas during COVID-19. These have slightly modified the previous procedures and requirements to get your marriage license.
How To Get Your Marriage License in Vegas during COVID-19 in 2 simple steps:
1. Apply for Your Las Vegas Marriage License Online
It is now required that you apply online no more than 90 days before your wedding in Vegas. Fill out the Las Vegas marriage license application here.
Once you get your marriage license it will be good for one year. In other words, to make it legally binding you will need to have a marriage ceremony within the state of Nevada within one year of acquiring the license. And yes, if you get married in Vegas it is legal everywhere. Marriages in Vegas do count.
Remember you are applying for a legal document! Make sure the name you enter exactly matches the name on the government issued ID you will be using to get your marriage license.
2. You & Your Fiancé must go to the Marriage License Bureau in Las Vegas. Remember to bring the items you need listed above.
Yes, you read that right. You both have to go in person. The licensing bureau is located on the ground floor of the Regional Justice Center in downtown Las Vegas.

How long does it take to get a marriage license in Las Vegas?
The process itself does not take long. Once you are with the clerk it only takes about 15 minutes. However, we cannot guarantee how many other couples will show up at the same time to get their marriage license. This is the variable that cannot be accounted for and could result in a longer wait.

• Only three couples will be allowed in the lobby at one time
• Sorry, no children, relatives or guests are allowed
• Couples will stand 6 feet apart while waiting
• Anyone with a temperature over 99.9 degrees will be turned away at the door
• Couples must wear a facial covering/mask
• Counters will be sanitized between couples
• Disposable pens will be issued to each couple

Can you just walk into a chapel in Vegas and get married?
YES! Vegas Weddings accepts walk in weddings. You can get married on the spot here. That is one of the reasons it is so easy to get married in Vegas.
Do I need a blood test to get married?
Unlike many other states, there is no blood testing required to get married in Las Vegas.
How long is my marriage license good for?

Can you get married in Vegas if you live in another state? Can tourists get married in Las Vegas?Yes! Requirements for U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens are the same. Please read above to easily discover what those are. Couples who reside in the US, regardless of which state, will simply need to get a Certified Copy of the Las Vegas marriage certificate for their state to recognize the legal marriage. If you are coming from another country you will need an Apostille after you get married in order for your country to recognize your marriage legally.
To get married in Vegas you must be no nearer in kinship than second cousins, or cousins-in-law. and not have a living husband or wife.
How old do you have to be to get married in Vegas?
The age requirements to get married in Las Vegas you must be at least 18 years old. At 16 or 17, you can get married if you have written consent from one parent.
